Cast Iron Nutrition LLC
Privacy Policy
Cast Iron Nutrition LLC ("Cast Iron," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through castironnutrition.com (the "Site"), how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Site or providing us your information, you agree to the practices described here.
This Policy applies to information we collect online through the Site and offline when you contact us. It does not apply to third-party websites or services we link to, which have their own privacy practices.
1. Who We Are
Cast Iron Nutrition LLC is a Connecticut limited liability company that sells dietary supplement products directly to consumers in the United States. Our Site is hosted on Shopify, and we use trusted third-party providers to process payments, ship orders, send communications, and analyze how our Site is used.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Contact and account information — such as your name, email address, shipping and billing address, and phone number when you create an account, place an order, sign up for our email or text list, or contact us.
- Order and payment information — your purchase history and the details needed to process payment. Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- Communications and submissions — information you provide when you contact us, leave a product review, submit a prayer request, respond to a survey, or apply to our Brand Ambassador / Affiliate program.
Information collected automatically:
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, including your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, links clicked, referring and exit pages, and general location inferred from your IP address.
Information from third parties:
We may receive information from our service providers and partners — for example, Shopify, our payment processor, shipping carriers, email/SMS platforms, analytics providers, and advertising platforms — and combine it with information we already have about you.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- process, fulfill, and ship your orders, and manage subscriptions and renewals;
- create and maintain your account and provide customer support;
- send transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping updates, account and subscription notices);
- send marketing communications you have opted into, and personalize what we show you;
- operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Site and our products;
- run promotions and our ambassador/affiliate program;
- detect and prevent fraud, and protect our rights and the safety of others; and
- comply with our legal obligations.
We do not use your information to make decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects without a human involved, and we do not sell sensitive personal information.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information with:
- Service providers who perform functions on our behalf — including Shopify (hosting and store operations), our payment processor, shipping and fulfillment partners, email and SMS providers, customer-support tools, and analytics providers. These providers may use your information only to perform services for us.
- Advertising and analytics partners — we may allow certain partners to collect information through cookies and similar technologies to help us measure and deliver advertising, including interest-based advertising (see Section 5). Depending on your state, some of this activity may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and you can opt out as described in Section 6.
- Legal and safety — we may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Cast Iron, our customers, or the public.
- Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
5. Cookies, Tracking, and Interest-Based Advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used, and support advertising. Some cookies are set by third parties (such as analytics and advertising platforms) that may collect information about your activity over time and across different websites.
Most browsers let you control or refuse cookies through their settings; if you block cookies, some features of the Site may not work properly. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) or the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org).
Global Privacy Control. Where required by law, we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and similar browser signals as a request to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for the browser on which the signal is received.
6. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Marketing opt-out (everyone). You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, and stop marketing texts by replying STOP. You will still receive transactional messages about your orders and account.
State privacy rights. Depending on the state you live in — including Connecticut (under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act), California, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws — you may have some or all of the following rights, subject to legal exceptions:
- Right to know / access the personal information we have collected about you and how we use and share it;
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information;
- Right to delete personal information we have collected from you;
- Right to data portability — to obtain a copy of certain information in a portable format;
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising; and
- Right to appeal a denial of a request, where applicable.
California residents may also have the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information and to be free from discrimination for exercising their rights.
How to exercise your rights. Submit a request by emailing us at support@castironnutrition.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and a description of the right you wish to exercise. To protect your information, we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request, and we may ask for information to match you to our records. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, with proof of authorization. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Do Not Sell or Share / Opt out of targeted advertising. To opt out, you can (a) adjust the cookie/privacy controls available on the Site, (b) enable Global Privacy Control in a supported browser, or (c) email us at the address above with the subject line "Opt Out."
7. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 for purposes of selling or sharing). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it as required by law.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy — including providing products and support, complying with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements — after which we delete or de-identify it.
9. Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect your personal information. Much of our payment and store infrastructure is provided by Shopify and our payment processor, which maintain their own security standards. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please protect your account credentials.
10. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party sites and services (for example, social media, payment providers, and our ambassador application form). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11. U.S. Operations
Cast Iron operates in the United States and our Site is intended for U.S. consumers. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above and post the new version on the Site. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
